Die...odes.

Progress is going slow, not only did I solder the ground cables wrong. I also soldered a lot of diodes in the wrong direction. I soldered the first one wrong and used that for reference for the next etc...
But on the plus side; I'm halfway done with the soldering of diodes now!

The gate and ball lock is taking shape as well, need to rearrange a ball guide and drill a few holes but other than that it shouldn't be much more work.

Sadly, I'm starting to toy with the idea of a kickback in the left lane too, haha. But I guess that'll have to wait. :)

  1. Congrats on the continued progress, these regular updates are awesome! Bummer about the diode polarity mix up. Keep up the good work. Where did you pick up the bad case of project scope creep?
    Cheers,

    1. Haha!
I guess that's what happens when you're on your fifth year in an ongoing project. Mostly it's stuff that I originally thought of or noticed was pretty cool when playing a lot of pinballs out there. The kickback is the only "non original" idea so far thou, so my project creeping is not that severe. Yet. :D

  2. Don't bother with the kickback. Do a virtual one - if the 'kickback' is earned, then auto launch a ball as soon as the outlane switch is hit. KISS does this - it works well.

    1. Yeah, I do this already actually. But having the kickback physical would allow me to use it as a feature, launching balls into the mid-right area which can be slightly hard to hit. :)

But it will most likely not happen, unless the project stalls for another year or so, haha! :D
